The Long Winter

And just like that we spring ahead and have more light.

But I do not dislike winter. We have a solid old house. It is cozy even when the wind howls and the rain beats down. It’s filled with golden lights and books and knitting needles and wood working and good food.

But I also look forward to a garden filled with tomatoes and herbs and berries. To bees in boxes. To more eggs. To stargazing in the hammock.

I’ve enjoyed the snow this year. I will enjoy the sun and cool marine breezes.
