This creature. He was my first pet after leaving the boats. He was so timid, he lived under my sewing cabinet for almost two months. Every time the furnace turned on, he would hide. For several years, people didn’t believe I had a cat because he was so elusive. He still likes to hide in the ceiling of the basement. He used to be indoor/outdoor but he couldn’t go outside without a trip to the vet. He drinks water out of everything he can find, except for his water dish. He has a serious catnip problem. He and The Gentleman — hmmm. This will probably be our only cat. And to think he’s only seven. Lewis.
