sweet grey happenings

A sweet little weekend

… we had a lovely little weekend this weekend …

I got my social security card with my new name. Image

I painted my nails a lovely gun metal grey. Image

I collected eggs from the chickens for the first time in twelve weeks. Image

I opened a twitter account (eek!) – @SweeGreys if you want to lend me some advise/support, that would be awesome! Image

The Gentleman’s daughter’s volleyball team won their last league playoff and are headed to State! Pretty amazing stuff! (It’s blurry, I know – it was pretty exciting!)

We saw some elk. No biggie.

We got to tour one of the boats I worked on, oh so many moons ago. Thanks, Captain!

And then we made halloween cookies – out of pudding – and oreos – and ghoulish sprinkles. It had to happen.

Then there was a fall drive …

ImageAnd now there’s bolognese cooking on the stove, candles buring, tunes playing, beer drinking good fall dinner happening. Image

And I may or may not be plotting my flock for next year. Okay, I totally am. Image

There was a little hiccup on my part to this beautiful weekend – sometimes this healing bone thing wears me down. Thanks for letting me share this little recap – it helps reaffirm how blessed and fortunate I am, how much I am grateful for and how much this beautiful grey mess is perfect, even when I can’t control things that are happening.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, where ever you may be! Best!!
